On August 16, 2001, on something of a dare by my new friend, Michelle Z, I made my first trip outside my room and into the world as Michelle. I walked two blocks to the Banana Cafe on Capitol Hill, through the front door, up the stairs to the Piano Bar, took a seat at the bar, and waited for Michelle. I was the only 'girl' in the room and no one could care less. I absolutely loved every minute. I guess that means that Michelle isn't a virgin anymore.
